Filmi Start to the month
It was a filmy start to July this weekend, despite the fragile health status. Started the month with back-to-back movies on Saturday at PVR, "Mission Impossible 3" followed by "Superman Returns". Did some shopping before the movies, and ended the day after the Brazil-France quarter-final. Purchased a few books after quite some time.
Ordered the following from Fabmall on Saturday:

    The Secret Supper - Javier Sierra
Bought the following from Odyssey (Central), the same evening:
    English, August - Upamanyu Chatterjee
    The Mammaries of the Welfare State - Upamanyu Chatterjee
    Life of Pi - Yann Martel

Da Vinci Code, it seems is not destined to be watched in the big screen here in the city. It was released in a hurry the day after the ban was quashed by the high court two weeks back but the screening never happened after the christian youth movement activists vandalised the theater. And to think that I can watch the movie without any issues in even Christian-majority areas in other parts of the country.
